Twee steamcrackers uit productie (due FIRE): BASF Antwerp and BASF Ludwigshafen.
(40% van hun world capacity of ethylene...!). Eerder deze maand moest ook Ineos in Keulen een cracker sluiten na een brand. De cracker in Antwerpen heeft een capaciteit van 1,08 miljoen ton ethyleen en is daarmee één van de grootste ter wereld. Today’s fire was at least the third incident at an ethylene unit in Europe this month. Ineos Group Holdings Plc halted a cracker at its plant in Cologne on Dec. 9. That unit, which can produce about 600,000 tons of ethylene, remains offline...! Ethylene and propylene are used in plastics and crop protection products. Morgen de Unieke foto's.
